SoundCafé Leicester appoints Rowleys Lisa Parkes as Trustee.
Rowleys Associate Director Lisa Parkes has been appointed as a Trustee and Treasurer for Leicester charity, SoundCafé Leicester.
SoundCafé provides safe creative spaces for people who are homeless, have lived experience of homelessness, are at risk of homelessness or are socially isolated or living in vulnerable housing in Leicester and Leicestershire, to enable them to explore their own creativity.
Lisa is an Associate Director at The Rowleys Partnership Limited, Chartered Accountants. Lisa is a Charity Specialist and Audit Signatory for the firm. She works with a range of local charities to provide audit and accounting advice and support. Lisa has a wide network of contacts in the charity sector and it was one of these contacts who approached Lisa about becoming a Trustee at the SoundCafé Leicester.
“I’m Leicester born and bred and when one of my contacts approached me about the opportunity at SoundCafé Leicester it sounded like the perfect opportunity for me to give something back to the local Leicester community.” Comments Lisa.
“The SoundCafé Leicester is a really great charity that provides a lot of support for homeless and vulnerable people in Leicester and I’m looking forward to working with the other Trustees to share my charity experience and contacts to help them.” She adds.
Chair of Trustees, Alan Fletcher, comments: “We’re excited to have Lisa on board. I’ve known Lisa for a while and I’ve no doubt that her specialised charity knowledge and dedication to supporting charities will benefit us greatly. All of the Board of Trustees are looking forward to working with Lisa.”
Lisa was formally appointed as a Trustee of SoundCafé Leicester on 1st September.
