Rowleys appoints tax specialist

27th March 2023

Rowleys has appointed tax specialist Rebecca Scotton as Senior Tax Manager, bolstering its tax offering as part of the firm’s strategic growth plans.

Rebecca joins Rowleys from a London-based firm where she worked as an International Tax Adviser, advising private clients leaving the UK. She began her tax career at KPMG in Birmingham, before relocating to London in 2012. During her time in London, Rebecca worked for a range of large and small practices, gaining a breadth of experience advising private clients and businesses.

Rebecca relocated to Leicester in October 2019, where she continued to work remotely for her previous firm. She has recently returned from a career break where she spent time working with two charities and undertaking a financial coaching course, accredited by The London Institute of Banking and Finance.

“I’m excited to join such a great bunch of motivated and enthusiastic people.” Comments Rebecca.

“Rowleys has an excellent reputation in the East Midlands and attracts interesting clients. I’m looking forward to building my network and drawing on my experience to make a difference to our clients.”

Mark Hook, Partner and Head of Tax, says: “When we started talking to Rebecca in January, we knew straight away that Rebecca’s enthusiasm would fit the culture of the firm. She has a broad range of tax experience that will enhance our existing team and bolster our tax services for our clients. We’re delighted to have her onboard.

“I’m proud that our reputation continues to attract and retain the best talent as we continue to grow. It’s an exciting time for the firm and recruiting people who align with our values and can offer our clients strong expertise is a key part of our growth plans.”
