Beware also of the latest email which purports to be from HMRC and is sent from the address "HMRC Online services – test@test.com"
The email states that the recipient has a new alert message, and the taxpayer should log on to their online account to read. Within the email is a link to a fraudulent website which then requests disclosure of personal account and password details.
HMRC urge customers to be vigilant and forward any emails to them at phishing@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk.
