Company law has its own definition of small, medium and large businesses. In turnover terms, Small refers to turnover ranging from between £0 to £6.5 million; Medium to £22.5 million and Large is greater than £22.5 million. However, it is not solely turnover that is relevant, as your company may be subject to group requirements or by its nature, not be able to be classed as either small or medium because they do not satisfy other criteria.
